WAR in Asia is "not impossible" if escalating regional tensions are not managed responsibly, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong suggested yesterday while delivering the keynote speech at a conference on the future of Asia organised in Tokyo by Japan's Nikkei media group.
"No country wants war, and every country will try to avoid it but that does not make war in Asia impossible," Mr Lee told the international gathering.
"There will be tensions and frictions," he said. "Incidents can escalate and miscalculations can lead to unintended conflicts."
