Push to strip Russia of right to host World Cup
[SINGAPORE] Russia is facing mounting pressure for the country to be stripped of the right to host the next World Cup and Formula One races.
This comes after Moscow voiced its support for pro-Russian separatists who are blamed for the deaths of all 298 people on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 that went down in Ukraine last week.
The jet was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down near Donetsk, a stronghold of pro-Russian rebels.
