2.9% rise takes 2013 total to 32.6m TEUs, just behind Shanghai Port's
[SINGAPORE] Singapore's container throughput hit a record last year, shrugging off another sluggish year for the industry.
Advance estimates released yesterday by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) showed that container throughput in 2013 rose 2.9 per cent to reach a record 32.6 million TEUs from 31.6 million TEUs the previous year.
