More competition seen for Singapore's petrochemicals industry
[SINGAPORE] The emergence of shale gas-advantaged petrochemical crackers in North America will see the global refining/
petrochemicals industry, including Singapore's, enter a period of competition "not seen for quite some time", warned ExxonMobil (EM) chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson.
"It's going to take a lot of hard work . . . no one is going to give you anything," he told The Business Times in an interview yesterday.
