StarHub goes into public service broadcasts
More original local content with MDA providing up to $6m
[SINGAPORE] StarHub is set to expand its offering of original local content with its entry into the public service broadcast (PSB) arena.
The pay-TV operator will produce up to 100 hours of PSB content, depending on the quality of proposals received from production houses, it said yesterday.
This will be partially funded by up to $6 million from the Media Development Authority's (MDA) Public Service Broadcast Contestable Funds Scheme (PCFS).
