Thai Beverage Q2 gain up 12%
[SINGAPORE] Thai Beverage Public Co's net profit for the three months ended June rose 12 per cent, from 4.9 billion baht to 5.5 billion baht (S$214.9 million). For the first half of the year, net profit rose 37.2 per cent, from 8.4 billion baht to 11.5 billion baht.
Revenue for the quarter came to 40 billion baht, up 8.7 per cent due to an increase in sales revenue from the spirit business of 12.5 per cent, the beer business of 10.2 per cent, and the food business of 8.1 per cent, although there was a decrease in sales revenue of the non-alcohol beverages business of 10.8 per cent. For the first half of the year, revenue rose 6.7 per cent to 81.1 billion baht.
An interim dividend of 0.15 baht per share was declared. It is payable on Sept 11. In the stock market yesterday, the counter ended unchanged at 62.5 Singapore cents.
