WongP sets up Myanmar unit, builds Asean presence

It is 'connecting the dots' in 60m-strong market between its India, China practices

[SINGAPORE] With Asean set to be an engine of growth and an investment destination of choice in the near future for local and multinational companies alike, Singapore law firm WongPartnership (WongP) wants to make sure it's well positioned in that space to take advantage of the work coming this way.

The firm, known for its recent high-profile work in Asean - such as ThaiBev's $13.8 billion takeover tussle for Fraser & Neave, and IHH Healthcare Berhad's $2.4 billion listing in Malaysia and Singapore - is setting up an office in Yangon, Myanmar.
