Singapore
A ROLLS-Royce Trent 1000 engine, a variant of the one used in Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, has clocked 173 km of mileage in Singapore in the last two weeks, hauled from location to location as an interactive exhibition aimed at exposing young people to the aerospace industry.
More than 4,800 students from 19 secondary schools, junior colleges and higher learning institutes - including aeronautical and aerospace students - had a look at the engine, and talked to 100 employee volunteers from various companies.
