Airbus remains upbeat on China market

European maker opens delivery centre in Tianjin for wide-body aircraft; expectations are that China's aviation market will grow by double digits in the next 10 years

China is already Airbus’s largest market with 1,250 aircraft in service. It expects the country to need another 5,400 planes in the next 20 years, with Airbus having an estimated 2,000 aircraft in service by 2020.

EUROPEAN aircraft manufacturer Airbus has inaugurated a delivery centre in Tianjin for wide-body aircraft amid expectations that China's aviation market will post double-digit growth over the next 10 years.
