Airplane part to be examined Aug 4 in Malaysia probe: official
[WASHINGTON] The examination of an aircraft part discovered on an Indian Ocean island will begin Aug 4 in Toulouse, France, to determine if it came from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, according to a US official.
The wreckage has been identified as a piece from a Boeing Co 777's wing, according to the official, who wasn't authorized to speak about the investigation. It was discovered July 29 on Reunion island, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development said in a release posted on the Web.
