Airports of Thailand Q2 net profit up on robust traffic
[BANGKOK] Airports of Thailand, Thailand's largest airport operator, said second-quarter net profit jumped 32 per cent, mainly due to an increase in air traffic during the peak tourist season.
Net profit rose to 4.89 billion baht (US$145 million) for the January-March quarter from 3.69 billion baht a year earlier.
The company, which operates six major airports in Thailand, has enjoyed strong growth as tourist numbers rise, especially from China.
