[TOKYO] ANA Holdings Inc, the world's biggest operator of the Dreamliner, reached an agreement with the plane's manufacturer Boeing Co on compensation for grounding the 787s earlier this year after battery fires.

ANA, Japan's biggest airline, won't reveal the details of the agreement that it reached with Chicago-based Boeing, Kiyoshi Tonomoto, an executive vice-president at ANA, told reporters in Tokyo yesterday. The airline expects to get four more 787s by the end of March, taking its total tally to 27 Dreamliners, he said.

"We had a satisfactory discussion with Boeing," Mr Tonomoto said. "We reached an agreement, but can't talk about it due to the confidentiality of the agreements."
