Analysts question Bombardier's faith in CSeries programme
Marquee model is over budget, late, and short of orders
Montreal
BOMBARDIER Inc says its commitment to the CSeries airliner remains ironclad. That hasn't stopped some analysts from starting to speculate whether the company's marquee model is in jeopardy.
The reassessment began emerging after this week's disclosure that Bombardier had held talks about working with Airbus Group SE, whose smallest jets compete with - and outsell - the CSeries. At US$5.4 billion, the CSeries programme is already US$2 billion over budget, more than two years late and short of its order goal.
