Atlanta works to keep its title as the world's busiest airport

Civic leaders have long envisioned Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (above) as a major component in helping to advance the area's growth. An academic suggested the airport deserved credit in luring a wide range of entities, including car factories and prominent corporate HQs.


THE typical flier might wonder why an airport would promote its designation as the world's busiest. Images of long lines, crowded concourses and auxiliary parking lots in the next area code could be evoked.
