Car COE premiums soften in 2nd Sept bidding

CERTIFICATE of entitlement (COE) premiums for passenger cars were all lower for the second bidding exercise of this month, as the slowing economy weighed on vehicle purchases.
Category A, for cars below 1,600 cc or 130 hp, fell S$1,506 to S$50,000, while Cat B, for cars above 1,600cc and 130 hp, dipped S$1,501 to S$55,501.
Cat E, the open category which currently tracks Cat B, slumped S$1,688 to S$55,201.
