COE premiums soften in second bidding exercise in September
CERTIFICATE of Entitlement (COE) premiums for passenger cars were all lower for the second bidding exercise in September, as the gloomy economy weighed on new-vehicle purchases.
Category A - for cars below 1,600 cc or 130 hp - fell S$1,506 to S$50,000, while Cat B - for cars above 1,600cc and 130 hp - dipped S$1,501 to S$55,501.
Cat E - the open category which currently tracks Cat B - slumped S$1,688 to S$55,201.
But both Cat C - for goods vehicles - and Cat D - for motorcycles - were slightly higher, climbing S$89 to S$49,890, and S$49 to S$6,501 respectively.
