COE prices end mostly lower in first round of bidding in June

CERTIFICATE of Entitlement (COE) prices finished mostly lower at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday.
Premiums for Category A - cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp - slipped from S$46,489 to S$45,201.
Those for Category B - cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp - closed at S$50,110, down from S$53,001.
Open category COEs - used for any vehicle type but are mainly used for big cars - fell from S$52,000 to S$50,526.
Motorcycle premiums remained flat at S$6,101.
COE premiums for commercial vehicles - which include vans, trucks and buses - was the only category that saw a price increase, from S$30,600 to S$38,501.
A total of 7,757 bids were received in this round of bidding.
