WITH the new year comes a new name for aerospace giant European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).
The group is rebranding itself as Airbus Group, leveraging on its planemaker arm, which makes aircraft models such as the double-decker Airbus A380 and the upcoming A350.
In addition, the group is renaming two of its three divisions. Its defence and space activities from Cassidian, Astrium and Airbus Military will be known as Airbus Defence and Space, while its commercial and military helicopter activities will come under the Airbus Helicopters banner.
