ASIA-PACIFIC carriers reported flat growth in cargo traffic for February, even as the global air freight market registered a 2.9 per cent year-on-year increase.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) yesterday said that among regional carriers, air freight volumes, measured in freight-tonne-kilometres, edged up 0.1 per cent.

However, capacity, which is measured in available freight-tonne-kilometres, grew by 3.9 per cent, sending the freight load factor down to 50.6 per cent.
