Global air passenger growth falls to 2.3% in September

GROWTH in international air passengers eased in September, rising 2.3 per cent year on year versus 4.5 per cent in August.
According to the monthly traffic monitor by the International Air Transport Association (Iata), premium and economy passenger numbers were both higher by 2.3 per cent during the month. In contrast, for the nine-month period spanning January to September, the premium segment expanded by 3.7 per cent and economy travel by 3.5 per cent.
