Iranian carrier Aseman inks US$3b deal for 30 Boeing jets

Boeing faces heavy criticism from US lawmakers who say Iranian airlines have been used to ship weapons and troops to Syria and other conflict zones.

IRAN'S Aseman Airlines has finalised an agreement to buy 30 Boeing 737 MAX jets for US$3 billion, the company said on Saturday, with an option to buy 30 more.

The deal, announced in April, was signed at a ceremony in Tehran and the first 30 planes are due for delivery
