Jan's global air passenger traffic slows to 4.6%
Singapore
GLOBAL air travel (measured in revenue-passenger kilometres) eased to 4.6 per cent growth in January, down from the 5.9 per cent expansion rate seen for the whole of last year.
While the slowdown may not necessarily point to a reversal of the growth trend, there are pockets of risks, given declining business confidence since the middle of 2014, which could hit international travel, warned the International Air Transport Association (Iata).
