June passenger traffic growth slows to 4.7%

[SINGAPORE] Global passenger traffic expanded 4.7 per cent year on year in June, down from the 6.2 per cent growth registered in May, although growth is likely to be stable in the months ahead.
Capacity in June was up 5 per cent, resulting in a passenger load factor of 81.5 per cent, said the International Air Transport Association (Iata) in its latest air passenger market analysis.
For the first six months of the year, air traffic volumes rose 5.9 per cent. In comparison, the figure for the whole of last year was 5.2 per cent.
