Keppel O&M may clinch 2 more FLNG conversions from Golar
Singapore
SINGAPORE'S leading yard group Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) appears poised to cash in on up to two floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel conversion contracts from Golar LNG in the next two years, with each expected to range upwards of US$700 million, going by the value of the first such contract award to the yard group.
This is because Keppel O&M and its engineering partner, Kansas- headquartered Black & Veatch, were commissioned by Oslo-listed Golar LNG to jointly undertake up to three FLNG vessel conversions but Golar is capable of underwriting just one FLNG project a year, its chief executive Oscar Spieler told The Business Times.
