DEUTSCHE Lufthansa is offering hybrid bonds for the first time as Germany's biggest airline seeks to boost its credit rating.
Lufthansa held a call with investors on Wednesday for a possible sale of securities combining elements of debt and equity in euros, according to a person familiar with the matter, who's not authorised to talk about it and asked not to be identified. The Cologne-based company first marketed the notes in March before a co-pilot at its Germanwings unit flew an Airbus A320 into the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board.
