Maersk banks on industry's new giants

The Mary Maersk: The Triple- E vessel, which can carry more than 18,000 containers, sails between Europe and Asia only as its nearly 194-foot wide hull is too large to fit into US ports or enter the Panama Canal.

[NEW YORK] As companies look for more efficient ways to move freight from factories in China to consumers in Europe, the Mary Maersk is among the newest giants, known as the Triple- E's.
