Maersk Q1 profit beats forecast, keeps full-year outlook
[COPENHAGEN] Danish shipping and oil group AP Moller-Maersk reported a first-quarter net profit above analysts' forecasts, supported by higher container volumes and increased oil production.
Net profit fell to US$224 million, Maersk said on Wednesday, beating an average forecast of US$55.6 million in a Reuters poll of analysts.
It kept its outlook for an underlying profit for the full year significantly below last years US$3.1 billion.
