MALAYSIA'S Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) is planning to drastically raise the fees payable by airlines for aviation services. This could lead to higher fares for passengers.
According to a report by Malaysia- based daily The Star, the hike will cover a range of fees - including airspace usage, air traffic facilities, air operator's certificate (AOC), and the pilot's flight licence - as DCA embarks on its first major fee review in over 40 years.
