Pratt & Whitney receives string of turbofan orders

AIRLINES and aircraft leasing companies, including BOC Aviation and Swiss International Air Lines (Swiss), have placed orders for geared turbofan (GTF) engines from engine supplier Pratt & Whitney, a subsidiary of United Technologies, at the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday.
All the involved parties declined to disclose the valuations of these orders.
