Rolls-Royce revving up S'pore production
Aircraft-engine maker plans to increase output at its Seletar plant from 70 engines to 250 a year by 2017
Singapore
ENGINE maker Rolls-Royce, which has produced 70 Trent aircraft engines at its Seletar plant in Singapore - the company's first such facility outside the UK - just this year, plans to ramp up production to 250 a year by 2017.
"That's a hard, strong ramp up . . . (but) we had a good preparation period. So we are confident it will be fine," said Rolls-Royce regional director for Asean and Pacific Jonathan Asherson at a media briefing.
