Search, rescue mission under way for missing staff in tugboat sinking: Sembcorp Marine
A SEARCH and rescue mission is under way in China for three missing employees of Jurong Marine Services - Sembcorp Marine's tug towing subsidiary - after a new tugboat it had planned to charter sank during a sea trial off Jingjiang.
Two of the employees are Singaporeans; the other is Indonesian.
Said Sembcorp Marine in a statement: "The group has informed their families and has made arrangements for them to travel to Shanghai. Management will continue to provide support and comfort and updates on the search mission to the families."
Sembcorp Marine said further updates will be provided when more information is available.
