SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) is introducing new benefits and rewards to its PPS Club programme from June 1, after receiving feedback from programme members.

The new benefits include the non-expiry of KrisFlyer miles, priority access to Saver award redemptions, and fast track security and immigration clearance at selected airports.

Members will also be given access to complimentary Preferred Seat selection when travelling in Premium Economy Class or Economy Class on SIA, and Economy Class on SilkAir.

A new scheme, PPS Rewards, will also be launched in June, which will provide members with additional incentives the more they travel in premium classes with SIA and SilkAir.

The benefits include double KrisFlyer miles, redemption discounts as well as one-class cabin upgrades for flights when members hit various levels of spend.

Changes will also be made to the Solitaire PPS Club membership criteria with effect from June 1.

The Solitaire PPS Club is the highest tier within the PPS Club.

The qualification requirement for the membership will be changed to S$50,000 PPS Value within a membership year, to allow PPS Club members to qualify for the Solitaire tier faster.

PPS Value required for Solitaire PPS Club membership renewal will also be set at S$50,000.

This follows the current PPS Value required for qualification and renewal that is set at S$250,000 over a maximum of five consecutive years, and S$25,000 per year, respectively.

Tan Kai Ping, SIA's senior vice-president (marketing planning), said these features were introduced "in response to feedback from PPS Club members, and are part of ongoing improvements to the PPS programme".

SIA previously made changes related to redemption bookings for its KrisFlyer frequent-flyer programme earlier this year in March.

SIA discontinued fuel and insurance surcharges from KrisFlyer redemptions, and also removed the 15 per cent discount on miles for redemption bookings made online.

Adjustments were also made to redemption awards in the "Saver" category for the selected zones, after previous adjustments in 2012.
