SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) will operate flights to Sapporo, Japan, in December and January to cater to the peak winter travel season.
The carrier said that it will operate a total of 14 flights to the capital of Hokkaido, an island known for skiing and snow sports, between Dec 1 this year and Jan 16, 2015. It will use 285-seater Airbus A330-300s in a two-class configuration with 30 Business Class seats and 255 Economy Class seats on the route.
SIA will operate flights to Sapporo's New Chitose Airport twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. SQ660 will depart from Singapore's Changi Airport at 11.30pm and arrive in Japan at 8am the next day. The return flight SQ661 will depart Sapporo at 9.30am on Tuesdays and 8.55am on Saturdays.
