SMRT chief dismisses talk of his stepping down
Desmond Kuek's comments come amid dip in consumer confidence according to survey on public transport
SMRT chief executive Desmond Kuek on Thursday distanced himself from talk that he is set to step down.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a launch event for a programme aimed at better assisting the elderly and those with special mobility needs, he said reports of an impending departure were "purely speculative".
His comments came as the results of a survey into commuter confidence in public transport were released.
