SMRT Corp has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to form a joint venture company for the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link).
The tie-up between the Singapore rail operator and Malaysia's largest public transportation provider will result in the RTS Link operating company (OpCo), which will be expected to design, build, finance, operate, maintain and renew the RTS Link operating assets such as trains, tracks and systems.
