Thai Airways appoints former bourse head as new president
[BANGKOK] Flag carrier Thai Airways International PCL has appointed Charamporn Jotikasthira, former president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, as its new president, acting Chairman Areepong Bhoocha-oom said on Wednesday.
The airline board wanted Mr Charamporn to start working as early as in December, Mr Areepong told a news conference after a board meeting.
Air Chief Marshall Siwakiat Jayema has been acting president since July 1 after Chokchai Panyayong resigned from the post to open ways for the military government to take control of the national carrier which has made net losses for five straight quarters.
