Train fault mars open house at Downtown Line 3

TRAIN service along a stretch of the Downtown Line was disrupted by a train fault at Hillview station on Sunday afternoon, affecting commuters attending the new Downtown Line 3 (DTL3) open house.

Hillview station is located along the Downtown Line 2 (DTL2). The delays lasted for nearly an hour, with no train service between Bukit Panjang and Beauty World stations.

The Straits Times understands that trains were put on hold down the line, resulting in some trains on the DTL3 being affected.

An announcement of the fault was initially made in trains, with commuters told to disembark at Ubi station.…
