US's Intertrade opens distribution centre at Changi Airport
US engine and airframe parts distributor Intertrade on Wednesday opened a distribution centre at Changi Airport.
This will enable the firm to better serve its Asia-Pacific customers with quicker delivery and lower shipping costs, said its director Shawn Berquist. "Time is not a luxury that our customers have when they need parts. Now, we can respond to Asia-Pacific customers same-day and in-region."
The warehouse will be operated by SDV Logistics. It will, for a start, stock Next-Generation Boeing 737, Airbus 320 and ATR 72 inventory, on top of other aircraft electronics and other components as well as engine parts.
