A PLACE TO REFUEL, RECHARGE, RELAX: SIA earmarked S$100 million back in 2013 to revamp its lounges over a five-year period. Its CEO Goh Choon Phong says feedback on the revamped lounges in overseas locations has been 'very very good'.

WELCOME TO 'THE PIER': This is the lounge, stocked with food and refreshments for first-class passengers of Cathay Pacific. The airline has also revamped its business-class lounges in a number of cities.

Airlines such as Singapore Airlines (SIA), British Airways (BA), Cathay Pacific and Qantas are among the carriers expanding or upgrading their lounges worldwide
