Leaders themselves do not have all the answers. Collaboration is the new innovation for leadership. I see myself as a change agent responsible for driving a collaborative culture, mindset and environment to steer and deliver purposeful outcomes - and this is a daily commitment. As multifaceted disruptions confront us, we need more innovation, which makes a "fail-safe" environment that promotes intrapreneurship, and building and leading diverse teams inclusively necessary. Importantly, leadership requires us to challenge ourselves when facts or opinions do not fit with our own world view. Leaders can look beyond their own sector for agile alliances or "industrial mash-ups", or borrow transferable insights from adjacent sectors to accelerate fresh thinking. Above all, listen to your people - and get everyone in the business listening for the best ideas and early disruptive signals.
