Other spin-offs on the way
THE Les Amis group is on a roll. The local F&B group is slated to open five new outlets by year-end, including two brand new concepts. The first is Spanish restaurant, Terry's, which will open in October in a 1,200 sq ft space on the second floor of the newly renovated Shaw Centre.
The 70-seater will be run in collaboration with Juan Carlos de Terry, a Manila-based stalwart of Spanish cooking who owns a chain of restaurants, delis, a winebar and a food and wine distribution in the Philippines capital.
At the Singapore branch, diners can pick from an array of hot and cold Spanish tapas, along with signature main courses such as prawns grilled with butter and browned garlic and served sizzling hot in earthenware bowls at the table, and a range of lamb and beef-topped arroz, or Spanish risotto. Prices have yet to be finalised but will be "similar to what you pay at La Strada or Bistro Du Vin", says a group spokesman.
