UNDER the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB), there are three stock sectors related to the freight and bulk commodities business. They are the oil equipment and services, commercial vehicles and trucks, and marine transportation sectors.

Of the 57 primary listings on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) which are categorised in these three sectors, 11 stocks have a market capitalisation of at least S$1 billion. These 11 stocks averaged a price gain of 3.1 per cent year-to-date as at July 29, not including dividends paid out.

The three largest capitalised stocks among the 11 are Keppel Corp, Sembcorp Industries and Sembcorp Marine, which are also Straits Times Index (STI) constituent stocks.
