Dividends in developed Asia-Pacific markets jumped to record high in 2021: report
They grew 31.7% to US$163.3b from US$124b in 2020; there is wide divergence among the countries in the region, with Australia and South Korea leading gains

DIVIDENDS from the largest listed companies in developed Asia-Pacific ex-Japan markets posted strong growth in 2021 to reach a record high of US$163.3 billion in 2021, according to a report by asset management firm Janus Henderson Investors.
The Global Dividend Index report - published on Tuesday (Mar 1) - found that dividends in the region (comprising Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan) grew 31.7 per cent on-year from US$124 billion in 2020.
