What the boys want for Christmas
Some suggestions when shopping for the gadget-crazy guys.
PHONES
Samsung
Samsung leapfrogs the competition with its new Galaxy Z Fold2, a mobile device that means business but also leaves plenty of room for play. The phone definitely feels premium - enough almost to justify its eye-watering S$2,888 price tag - but the good thing is it also boasts enough bells and whistles to make you want to fork out the moolah for it. In terms of features, Samsung has gone to town with the Galaxy Z Fold2 and made vast hardware and software improvements over its previous generations of foldable devices. The cover screen, for instance, now has a bezel-less 6.2-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display - big enough for checking emails on-the-go and taking calls with one hand. Open the device and it transforms itself into a mini work station with the 7.6-inch QXGA+ main screen coming in handy for multi-tasking across various Microsoft Office apps. The Galaxy Z Fold2 is a great size for a tablet and the ability to fold it and tuck it away for use as a phone makes this a great device for both work and leisure.
