The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 114.00 points, or 0.43 per cent, at the open to 26,542.32.

The S&P 500 opened higher by 17.14 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 3,288.26. The Nasdaq Composite gained 103.36 points, or 0.96 per cent, to 10,848.64 at the opening bell.
