Civil service axes mid-year bonus for 1st time since 2009

THERE will be no mid-year bonus for civil servants this year - for the first time since the global financial crisis - and senior public officers will also have to take another pay cut.
Meanwhile, business representatives said that private-sector employers would have to bear their own companies' circumstances in mind, in deciding whether to follow suit.
