Infineon's digitalisation cuts labour costs, raises capital efficiency

HALFWAY through its latest S$105 million, five-year plan to digitally transform its Singapore operations, Germany's Infineon Technologies has been lauded for cutting direct labour costs by 30 per cent and improving capital efficiency by 15 per cent.
It accomplished this thanks to investments in "a digital backbone and people development", according to the citation from the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network.
