Pitch Perfect
No musical instruments, no computers, just pure vocal magic. That's the appeal of Pentatonix, one of the world's most popular acapella groups. Since winning The SingOff talent show in 2011, the quintet has recorded albums, toured the world and won three Grammys along the way. On YouTube, they have more than 17 million subscribers and their music videos of songs like Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah and a medley of Daft Punk tracks have racked up more than 4.1 billion views. Comprised of vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee, Pentatonix recently finished a 44-date North American run and Singapore is the next stop of their current world tour. They played sold out shows here in 2014 and 2015; and were part of Singapore's Grand Prix concert in 2016.
Pentatonix plays The Star Theatre on Feb 11 at 8pm. Tickets from S$88 to S$228 are available from Sistic and at the venue's box office.
