What's Up This Week
MUSIC MATTERS
Thanks to Covid-19, many music acts have cancelled their upcoming tours to Singapore. But the show goes on with not one, but two festivals taking place soon. First up is the return of the long-running Garden Beats. Despite some line-up changes with Sabrina Claudio and Blond:ish pulling out, the sixth edition will take place on Feb 29 at Fort Canning. Indie crowd favourite Foals is still headlining together with electro-pop duo Gioli & Assia; while Aussie singer-songwriter Running Touch is a late addition to the bill. Also making a return is Singapore Rockfest. Split into two days with Slipknot and Trivium headlining the second one on March 24, the first installment takes place on March 4 with a double bill of Scorpions (pictured above) and Whitesnake sharing the stage at The Star Theatre. ~ Dylan Tan
