Green Fingers
Veteran journalist Pauline Dawn Loh has written a memoir about her love of plants and tending gardens in various places around the world. Having first fallen in love with plants in her grandmother's garden, she grew up admiring the crepe myrtle, drunken hibiscus and other species, as well as the plant lore and scientific facts surrounding them. Plants kept her company during sojourns in Hong Kong, San Francisco and China. And she would later marry a man who shared a similar passion for botany. Dawn In The Garden: A Gardener's Memoir chronicles her love of various plants over the decades, accompanied by lovely watercolour illustrations by Bee KC Tan.
Dawn In The Garden is available in bookstores.
